Q: RSI to the back ?

Hi guys,

Basically I'm an Internet Guru. I spend 95% of my time sitting in my chair and have done for the past 5 years, of course when I have school / college I don't.

The problem is that I come from a very bad built area and going outside isn't always the option after a certain time.

I've recently been feeling from what seemed to be a slight annoyance in my back to a large annoyance in my back. It's been occurring for somewhat three weeks now and it's located below the shoulders.

The chair that I've been using has a built in recline feature which I have used since I have purchased the chair. I'm guessing that the pain is repetitive strain injury which is very common for PC users. I have left it for a few weeks to see if it would recover itself, but I have the urge or habit to attempt to stretch my back and relieve the pain.

It's really annoying me now. I don't exactly know the full dangers of RSI but when I sit in one certain position it feels as if the rib cage is pressuring against the lungs.

Any advice on how I can recover this without obviously taking time out would be appreciated. I have removed the recline feature from my chair and I'm going to try and sit up straight.

Thanks,
Dan
