Q: Round Purple Sore on Labia

A couple of days after having sex, I experienced a round purple sore on the inside of my labia. It is uncomfortable when I pee and it kind of feels like pinching. Its not raised and doesn't look like a lesion, and there is only one thats the size of a dime. Is it possible to have a bruise? Or is this an STD symptom i should be really worried about?

The most common STDs are:

Chlamydia
Gonorrhea
Herpes Simplex
HIV/AIDS
HPV
Syphilis
Trichomoniasis

I'd suggest that you check out the symptoms for these conditions on the National Library of Medicine's site for STDs and see if there are any similarities with your labia sore.

A dermavernerolgist can also help diagnose the spot with a visual exam.
