so i am 6 months pregnant and last saturday started having horrible pain that started on my left side and came around the front. It lasted for 3 hours before i fell asleep. the next morning, it was gone. but by about 1:00 it was back and hurt all night until i fell asleep. Tuesday, same thing. I called my doctor and asked about it, i even went in to make sure everything was ok. he told me its probably just round ligament pain. I told him i have tried EVERYTHING to get it to go away,
Changed positions, sat down, medicene, massage, bath, heat pad, everything. once i start having the pain nothing makes it go away. it hurts so bad. He told me thats normal and not to worry and to take it easy. Anyways i was looking on line for some more info about round ligament pain, and everything i find says the pain shouldnt last for more than a few minutes at a time.. should i get another opinion about my pain, or just trust my doctor? also if it is just round ligament what else can i try to ease the pain.. ?

Sounds like you are doing all you can do. I'm sorry to say that pregnancy can suck. Some people get worse pains than others. It is disheartening because some people seem to have such an easy time at pregnancy and think it is wonderful, while others have an awful time.

Trust your doctor - but if it continues, call him again and again and again. That is what they are there for.
