I am a 33 year old woman, currently 6 months pregnant, in great health, when over a week ago, I started to feel this mild pressure in my right ear. I thought it might be wax blockage, so decided to have it cleaned the next week at the doctors. The following week, my right ear began to "fill up" with this pressure in less than 10 minutes and there is now on ongoing ringing, along with hearing loss in my right ear.

It feels like there is this tremendous pressure on it. I did NOT have a sinus infection, nor do I ever get allergies. I was not sick at all prior to the ear "blocking up" and I experienced no trauma to my head or ears (no exposure to loud noise, no illness, no injury, no discharge, etc). My ears have been checked for infection via viewing the outside ear drum, as well as wax blockage, none of which appear to be the case.

I'm desperate for help! I will be seeing a auditory specialist tomorrow, but am fearful they will simply tell me what the urgent care doc, as well as the ER doc told me- "don't know". What sort of tests should I request? None of the doctors I have seen so far have ordered or performed any tests!

I fear the longer this continues undiagnosed the less likely the chance that I will get my normal hearing back. Please help, any advice would be welcome.
