right thumb is weak and unstable Posted: 01-19-08 22:53pm
I'm 16 year old, My dream is to be an
artist, But i had a thumb problem that
always restrict me from drawing. A
flexible hand its really important for an
artist.
My right hand thumb seems weak, instable.
When i move my thumb up and down it create
a weird sound on the wrist side part. I
had done many researches but don't know
what went wrong. Looked for doctor many
times, and had a x-ray and the doctor said
nothing happened to my thumb. if i
write/draw too much the sound will became
more obvious. When I place my hand on the
floor with my paim facing the floor and
wrist bended, applying strength to the
floor. The side part of my wrist hurt
quite alot. But there isn't any pain with
my left hand.
I was very depressed because of my thumb.
Don't know what's the problem with it.
Sometimes i lied to myself that there
isn't any probem with my hand since the
doctor said so. i went to find chinese
doctors, it mgiht help since i haven't
tried it before. i had tried 3 chinese
doctors, some said there is problem with
my nerve and some said bone had went to
other place. they failed to heal my hand
but told me there really is problem with
my hands.
My hand will become cold easily. chinese
doctor said i need to eat more and given
me some medicines. I think it might
related to my thumb problem, maybe
something block the blood flow.
I forget thing quite easily so not sure
whether i sprain my thumb or had any
injuries on my thumb/wrist last time. But
i did some researches, it may be Scaphoid
fracture. Since i'm not a doctor so i
don't know is it true that its Scaphoid
fracture. Sometimes even x-ray can't scan
Scaphoid fracture. I only tried once. So
please help i really need a flexible hand
alot, Thank you.

For how long you have this problem?
Did all these symptoms develop gradually?
Is your thumb painful, too?
