Q: right side of throat hurts

I'm 18 yr old female and i gave oral sex and now the right side of my throat hurts, yah he was a little rough and my throat started hurting the day after. it doesn't hurt all the time just when i swallow. is it an infection I'm pretty sure its swollen. but i don't know can i get some help i haven't seen a doc in forever. i know i should make an appointment
