Hello and welcome to e health forum.

The description of the pain appears to be due to inflammation and stress related mucositis, due to the recent viral infection.

With time and as the body completely heals, your symptoms will subside and you will feel better.

You can take OTC medications like Advil or motrin , to help in early healing and resolution of your symptoms.

In addition, maintaining good hydration with good fluid intake, and proper nutrition will also be helpful.
