Today I was at the hospital for a check up to join a research trial for male contraceptives.
During this I was given a prostate examination, during this there was a complication and I was asked if I had any problems urinating or during sex etc. which I don't. However the right side of my prostate is larger than the left (I can only assume considerably given the doctors reaction) and was asked to go to get a ultrasound of my prostate.
However I wasn't told anything further other than not to worry (which is practically impossible given the only information I can find on the situation is either BPH or prostate cancer) and that complications with the prostate are rare/never seen in people my age. I'm 22 years of age and worrying about the possibility of having prostate cancer.
I'd just like to know if there are any other things this could be?
