I have been to two emergency rooms in the past week and to my regular doctor with right lower abdominal pain (excruciating), nausea, and vomiting. Both emergency room doctors ordered x-rays and lab work, then came back to tell me they didn't find anything wrong. The second doctor said I need to see a specialist. Well, if nothing is wrong why do I need a gastroenterologist? Makes no sense to me and he was extremely rude. I have tried two different laxatives with no relief. All I did was have projectile type vomiting from one of the laxatives and no relief at all from the first one. It hurts to eat, so I don't have much of an appetite. I had a low grade fever Wednesday night at 99.2. Other than that, no temperature. Please help.

Your symptoms may be due to appendicitis (obstruction of the narrow appendiceal lumen initiates the clinical illness of acute appendicitis and may be due to many causes, among which is diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, colon tumor).
Abdominal pain and loss of appetite are the main symptoms.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation are additional ones.
Fever, may or may not be present.
It will be a good idea to get checked with abdominal CT or ultrasound since they can give better visualization.
There are many different conditions that can resemble the appendicitis symptoms.
