Rib cage pain with face hands feet and leg tingling Posted: 03-05-08 00:52am
I've had rib cage pain (from front to
back) for three years. My hands and feet
have been tingling for a long time too.
Last week I went to walk up the stairs and
my legs wouldn't move for a few seconds.
I feel electrical shocks all down them and
they go numb and tingle. I have also been
"throwing" items for the last two months.
I just pick something up and my arms jerk
and I drop the item. Now cheeks, mouth
and nose are tingling. Had MRI of brain
and EEG and both came back OK.
Neurologist looked at me and said "you
look good" but did send me for more test.
From all of my research of symptoms I am
having MS pops up for all of them but I am
guess since the MRI of brain didn't show
anything that I can rule that out but not
sure??? Symptoms are getting
progressively worse quickly. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
I have a 3 1/2 year old and 9 month old
boys that I need to be healthy for. Thank
you!

MS is quite tricky to dx. Some will have
brain and / or spinal lesions and some
will have clinical findings (symptoms) but
no lesions, etc...
Keep a diary, if you can't write it
down...get a tape recorder...having your
neurologist know when it happens and what
part of the body it is affecting and how
long it lasts, etc, will help
tremendously.
