i have this horrible pain in my upper right ribs today. In the past it was in my left upper rib. Can tmj cause this to happen. I also have my stomach muscles twitch at times. I feel like my whole rib cage is misaligned.

I'm going to a chiro today but want to know if this is a symptom of my TMJ?

Can it travel that far?

the whole body is connected so im sure that it effects it in someway. however i dont think that this is directly from the tmj---you are probably just out of alignment and need an adjustment

Hi
Hello, i'm cindy. I have had some experience with the rib thing. Yes it can. Like dyan said everything Is so connected, the jaw-the neck-the shoulders-upperback and ribs. My ribs will actually sort of pop out of alignment, and i can feel it, and my chiropracter will put it back. Must be connected. Ribs CAN be misaligned. Its easy to get fixed by a chiro, and it doesnt really hurt. hope that helps. See your NOT imagining it!!! cindy
