I am 44 years old have very low blood presure low good cholesterol but healthy I have had fainting episodes but not since my 20's as a child I had a severe case of rheumatic fever spent 3 moths in a hospital due to heart problems still had a heart murmur when I left the hospital. aprox 15 years back I had it checked and they said heart murmur was gone. I had discontinued the constant shots of penicillin by the time I was 14 because they were painful. for the past few months I have been experiencing a bone weariness achy joints aching muscles and last week what appeared to be a bad case of strep fever 103.9 chills swollen tonsils swollen adnoids left side, couldnt swollow, sweats, can a person my age get rheumatic fever or a flair up of old symptoms and my low blood presure is that normal for someone that had rheumatic fever 90/57 thans for any insights on this little puzzle

People who have had rheumatic fever as children are actually likely to develop flare-ups and repeated strep infections. You may want to visit your doctor to ensure there is no further heart damage. You can find more information here:
