have had painful feet some time. nerve conduction test came back ok. neurologist says restless leg syndrome but with something else going on. take co-codomol for pain. doctor baffled, trying me on various drugs eg gabapentin with no luck. i wont use controlled drugs they make me drowsy and i like to be in control. feet painful at night at first now all time . had lumbar puncture for viral meningitis in 2002 consultant let student doctor so test. it took ages and he hit a nerve which sent an electic shock to my right leg. could this have anything to do with how i am now?

I have a suggestion for you. Try putting a bar of soap at the end of your bed, between the sheets. This has helped many people who suffer from neuralgia. I know it sounds crazy but it is harmless to try it. My parents have tried it and do get some relief from neuralgia with the soap in the bed. Give it a try.
