Q: Remaining mono symptoms ?

I had mono about 4 years ago, up until about 8 months ago, I was felling good. The fatigue had gone down considerably and the mental and physical effects were almost non-existant. Now, and back then, whenever I (am/would get) tired, its like I'm high or something. Its like I'll be talking to someone and its like I'm not really there. Has anyone else experienced this? When I wake up in the morning, usually I feel great mentally, but as the time passes, about at 4-5 o'clock I start these symptoms.

Yes! I got sick with what I now realize was Mono in January 2009. Then the acute illness went away and I thought I was fine and resumed my life. And then I got awful brain fog--just like you describe, like I am high and things aren't really there. It is usually better in the morning. For a few months, it seemed like things were improving. Then I pushed myself too hard and it came back very bad. Now I am resting a lot and this really seems to help. I am hoping that eventually I will not have to live in fear of this.

Have you tried seeing if there is any correlation to things you do?

Please keep me updated on your symptoms.
