Reliv or Standard Process products ? Posted: 06-25-08 12:53pm
I was diagnosed with Hypoglycemia about 8
months ago and have controlled most of my
symptoms with diet. I have heard a few
things about Reliv and Standard Process
products. Has anyone ever used these to
regulate blood sugar or heard anything
about them. The Standard Process product
I am referring to is Chromium, a metal
that helps regulate blood sugar. Any
information would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Are they both chromium products? I eat
brewer's yeast, which has chromium in it,
but I can't say if that's why I feel so
good all the time. It's more likely that
I eat right in general. I don't really
approve of taking natural minerals like
that in mega doses, small doses maybe, but
most of the pills of that that I've seen
were like 1g of chromium. I think that's
like 1000 times the daily requirement, so
it probably gets flushed out of your
system more than it actually does
anything.

I read your diet i thought i would try
taking brewers yeast after reading some on
the benefits of it. I notice you say that
you have to take it with some calcium, do
you mean milk cause isnt milk bad for
someone with hypo.

Is that my old diet? I just take calcium
tablets, yogurt, almond milk or cheese.
