Hi everyone

I had a recurring upper back pain and I finally went to a doctor who asked me to do an x-ray...and here is what is in the report....

- Partial straightening of cervical lordosis suggesting neck muscle spasm
- Relatively narrowed C4-C5, C5-C6 and C6-C7 disc spaces
-Minimal cervical spondylotic changes with posterior osteophyte
-Mildly encroaching upon the intervertebral foramina at C3-C4 level on both sides
-No bony cervical ribs

One doctor told me physio therapy will do, but another told me that I have to see a neurology specialist to ask his opinion.

I am kinda scared right now, if there is a doctor who can let me know what is going own, i will really apprecieate that.

Thank you

Hello Kmali,

Be more scared if you don't see a spinal specialist.

I'm glad that you had the x-rays taken. That is a good first step. Next step in my opinion is for you to see a spinal surgeon/neurologist for his/her opinion. search out the very best one who you can find in your area. Oh yes, do get a 2nd opinion.

Regarding "if there is a doctor ----" - Kmali, I firmly believe that it is improper for any one on this forum to make a diagnosis. You really need to see a doctor face to face and let him/her properly examine you.

I wish you the very best. Let us know how things go for you.
