Im BiPolar with a severe case of PTSD.. I was on several meds, went through in patient rehab for a week then out patient for four weeks for my last episode, and have been seeing a therapist once a week since then and my shrink once a week as well... And then I got pregnant- I was advised to stop all medication which I did. I fell into a depression but being this is my first child i thought it was just the hormones. Then the depression turned into a manic episode where I through away all the wellness progress I made and ended up relapsing.. I didnt get to far on my relapse because my husband who put a secret gps on my car caught me on my way to a full blown relapse. Ive lost the trust of my husband, and my family- how much of this can I blame on this illness? How much is my just being a terrible person? I cant seperate the two... I need to get back on a wellness plan but Im finding hard to do with no meds. and no faith in myself.. any words of advice out there?

It's the illness. You questioning about whether you're a terrible person is enough of an indication to show you care, but work towards realistic caring and don't beat yourself up. No-one can bully you like you can yourself, and, if you do this, you shouldn't be surprised if you don't feel too good.

You'll get back on track. Just give yourself time and be patient with yourself. Think how you'd react to someone writing what you have. You wouldn't think they were terrible, would you? You wouldn't rush them, either. Recovery takes a lot of time and effort. You'll get depressive defeatism about all this at times, and you may want to give up, but it's the overall trend that's important and there's enough in your post to suggest that you've got a desire to sort this.

Keep in touch with your team.
