I had a non cancerous osteochondroma above my right knee, which i recently had removed with outpatient surgery. Its been 14 days now since surgery and im starting to walk around pretty well now. During surgery they didnt have to tear any muscle tissue or anything to get to the osteochondroma, they just had to pull a muscle back, so it shouldnt of had an effect. So i was wondering what people thought were good ways to strengthen my leg/knee and get back to more sports? Im a really competitive tennis player and really wanna get back to playing soon so any advice would be appreciated

The recovery period depends upon the bone lesion and location.
Most of the patients are able to resume sporting activity within 4 to 8 weeks after osteochondroma surgery.

Did you undergo physical therapy for your range-of-motion and strengthening like rehab after surgery?

Physical therapy is an important aspect of treatment of almost all orthopedic conditions, helping to restore patient's activity, strength and motion following an injury or surgery.
