Q: Reducing Nadolol and Nifedipine

I am an 83 year old male who has been using Nadolol 80 mg. daily--also Nifedipine 30mg daily. I monitor my BP at home using an mercury sphygmomonometer. My readings are 106/56. I feel that this is low for my age and would like to gradual reduce the dosage of both of these meds. My Nadolol comes in 40 mg scored tablets which can be easily reduced. The Nifedipine is gradually released and cannot be divided.Perhaps by just reducing the Nadolol will raise my BP to a more acceptable level. Please advise, bigreach
