ok, ive been having problems with the "head" and shaft of my penis since october 2008. i noticed that after i took a shower, or masturbate i got a little red. i take a shower everyday after i exercise by the way. so i noticed the redness would get worse and worse, i mean the head was covered with red tiny spots also on the inside of the shaft. i was really scared because i thought i was a STD. i did have unprotected sex with ONE girl, like 5 times, but she told me that she took a test and she didnt have any STDs. so i was kinda relieved. so i started putting lotion, i think NIVEA on my penis, and it went away for a little while but came back. then i started to have smegma on my penis and it really start to smell. so i tried looking on the internet about this, and i thought i had balanitis, so i went to buy some LOTRIMIN AF. i used that for 2 weeks n again it kinda went away. Then i thought it might be the soap i use. At first i use PINK DOVE, then i switched to LEVER 2000 W/ VASELINE FOR MEN. i really like using that soap but i cant find it anymore at the stores, so im forced to buy regular LEVER 2000 W/ VASELINE. sometimes i think im using too hot water wen i take showers but idk. im really tired of worrying about my penis, i hope you can help me, please. thank you

Just call your doctor and ask him. If you are embarrassed you can try calling one of the free clinics in your area and tell them outright, you need information but do not want to come in if it is nothing to worry about.

Though really I think your best bet is to see a doctor. If changing your soap and trying to treat it as a rash has not really worked you may have something wrong.

That and girls do lie...she may have had something and been to ashamed to tell you...it would not be the first time.
