Hello all,

I am writing because I came back from my doctors office confused. Myself, my son and my middle daughter all went to the doctors with what we thought was chicken pox and shingles. I have large red spots on the side of my adomen and now on my legs and buttocks area, these are very painful and burn, sitting on my butt hurts, and my sides are burning. My son has them all over his butt, down his legs and on his torso, he has it the worse, he says they itch. My middle child has them on her back, torso and butt area, and it's slowly spreading down her legs. None of us has this on our faces just the torso, butt, and legs, and some on the arms.

The doctor checked us out and said not chicken pox, or scabies or bed bugs, as my youngest daughter and my husband have none of these syptoms at all. He thinks they are some kind of bug bite but not sure what? I am in a lot of pain it hurts to walk and my sides will ache, I also have gotten headaches, a stiff back, stomach aches, and tiredness. My son has an unwell feeling, and headaches, my midde child appears fine.

My doctor took cultures of these spots, some are huge, and on me those are the most painful, just a lot of burning. So Friday we should know hopefully what it is. I cannot wait this long as I am perplexed and so it my doctor. I am glad it's not bed bugs or scabies, i would just die if they were.

Also we recently moved to another state, from NH to Maine. We moved here two weeks ago and we started getting these spots on Saturday morning. I am washing all of our bed sheets in hot water and we have to all take very hot showers, doctor's advice.

Any help has anyone had this before???? Thanks!

Were you able to find an answer to your rash? It sounds very strange!
