This has only happened one other time that I remember, but yesterday I woke up and my nose was super sore and I thought it was like last time where I had a pimple in my septum. It got red and swollen and after a few days or a week it went away. But this being day 2, it got more swollen than it did last time and now it feels like there's a blister on the end of my nose. It's not a noticeable blister, but I feel it and it hurts so bad. The slightest touch makes me feel like I just got punched in the nose. There's also little dry skin flakes on the end of my nose. I looked a few things up and saw that it could be due to rosacea, or some kind of acne rocacea, but I'm really starting to not have any idea what this is. If someone could help me out that'd be great. Is there anything that I could put on it to make the swelling go down? It's really embarrassing to have to go to work and work with the public everyday and have them stare at Rudolph's red nose.

It's in the final healing stage, thankfully. My nose got huge from this. I think the flakes of dry skin was from my nose stretching. Turns out it was infected. How, I have no idea. I woke up the other morning and blew my nose and noticed it was bleeding a little. I started to check it out and there was a bunch of puss coming out. It's all out now, but it was the least pleasant thing I've dealt with. It took a couple days to get the infection completely out, but I still don't know how it got that way. A few years ago I had my septum pierced, but it wasn't for very long and it's been out since at least 2009, so the hole is closed and there's just scar tissue now, but I don't see how it would be caused by that. I also thought that maybe it could be some form of skin cancer because my mom has had basil cell twice in the same spot on her nose and I thought maybe I had fallen victim to it too. If anyone else has had or has this problem, go see a dermatologist as soon as this happens. I'm glad my nose didn't get worse from this, but everyone is different and I know I'm not the only one who wouldn't want their nose to be the only noticeable thing on your face.
