Hello I am 21 years old and I have had this problem for about 3 years now... When I get nervous, anxious, very excited, drink alcohol or go to a social event I noticed I get a red rash all over my neck, chest and arms sometimes, but mainly my chest and neck. This is very very noticable and irritating!! It just popped out of no where a few years ago. This makes it so hard to go on dates with my boyfriend, go out for a few drinks, go to social events...like weddings...just knowing that the rash will show up and everyone will see it... Sad My life has totally changed since this has happened to me...I used to enjoy going out and having fun..now I would rather sit at home and not worry about it. I need this stopped so I can enjoy my life. I talked to my doctor and he has never seen it and didn't know what to do about it...which really upset me... Could you please please help me!?!?! If there is a medication I will try it! Something had to of triggered this off a few years back, because I never once had this in school. I wish I could be fine like I was back then and not have to worry about something like this.

THANK YOU!!

nervous rash
Hi there, I understand your pain. I have the same thing. It's been about 6 yrs now. At first, I just blushed really bad on my face, then it starte dspreading to my neck, chest, back, and upper arms. Iv'e been on lots of forums about this and unfortunatley there is no "cure" for this yet. I wish I can wear turtlenecks everyday!! But don't let this situation get you down. If you think about all that can go wrong in your life, and then compare it to this, it really is not that bad. Things could always be worse..Although I know there are days when you want to crawl in bed and not come out. When going to social events where you know this will probably happen, try to wear cute turtlenecks or wear a high neck top and wear a cute scarf around your neck. You can also try a make-up called Dermablend. It works farily well in covering the rash. At least we are not alone in this!

May God bless you.

nervous rash
I am 31 years old and have been getting the same thing in the same situations now for about 6 years or so. No doctor has been able to cure it for me either, or even diagnose it and as I get older, it gets worse and happens more frequently. I'd be interested in knowing if you are on birth control, or ever taken any other types of medications. I often wonder if it is linked to hormones. I have been on the pill since I was 17 and even though have tried to go off, cannot due to ovarian cysts, so I wonder if it is a long term side effect. If you find any helpful links or information, please post it. I will do the same. Thanks and good luck.

I developed this one and a half years ago. I'm 29 now. It started following a severely stressful period in my life, and while I was on a pretty serious antibiotic. I get these red bumps on my face, neck, chest, and sometimes upper back. The face is the worst! They turn into pimples at times, too - does this happen to any of you? And do yours fluctuate constantly? By drinking Kiefer & eating an anti-inflammatory diet for 6 months, it seemed to have pretty much gone away. I was able to drink white wine & eat most any food again. But 2 weeks ago it returned pretty bad. Anyone have answers yet? I'm not on birth control, and my periods have been changing drastically since this started. Anyone else have those symptoms as well?
