red patches on skin have spread and are very dry and burn

Hi. I have red patches on my skin. They were localized to just my upper arms but now have spread to my neck, chest, trunk, and legs. They do not itch but are very dry and are now starting to burn slightly when touched. I would really appreciate your thoughts and advice. Thank you.
