red itchy bumps inside my vagina

my boyfriend is an intravenous drug user and we've had unprotected sex for over a year now, six months ago i had what looked like red bumps in my vagina at first i freaked out thinking he gave me herpes we had sex 3 days ago now i see these bumps again they are inside my vagina and itchy;it looks almost like a rash he swears he didn't cheat on me if it is an STD could it have lied dormant for over a year i did a vagisil screening and showed that it's not a yeast infection,but could it be?About 2 weeks ago i was having trouble starting my urine stream and then i had urgency to go more but there is no odor pain or discharge only these bumps itch i'm scared that it's something serious he's trying to get off drugs but if it is herpes can i assume he was with someone else
