Sally,
My acne actually disappeared when I
started taking birth control. You might
want to talk to your doctor about that as
a possible option if you can. I also use
Proactiv Solution and Aveeno Clear
Complexion Moisturizer. Moisturizers with
soy are good at reducing inflammation and
redness! I still get a few small zits
every now and then when my period
approaches, but they're nothing a little
concealer can't hide.
If you have bangs, keep them off your
forehead while exercising and sleeping,
and when you're in the shower, be sure to
wash your face after you wash your hair.
It's also REALLY important that you're
getting adequate nutrition and enough
sleep. If you're sleeping poorly, eating
poorly, and if you're stressed out, your
skin will almost always reflect that.
No matter what though, you should
definately talk to your doctor about your
skin. He/she might recommend a
prescription for you if your acne isn't
responding at all to the various over the
counter treatments you've tried.
