Hi all, i am new to this forum and heard this forum is pretty helpful. Okay, i am 15 years old and a bit overweight. These days i started off having pain around my chest(or rib cage), back ,neck abdomen and behind armpit, these pains are not constant and severe but as it starts aching it could get all my attention onto it. I also have little headache but it is sometimes not noticable.

Yesterday i realised i had some red dots on my right arm i believe its called petechiae, also this arm is sometimes very sore along with my leg. I also have 2 bruises one on my leg and one on right arm, i do remember bumped very hard on a table few days ago so that wasn't an 'easy' bruise. I don't know why but i yawn A LOT during the day, how ever i don't feel very tired of fatigue and participate sport at school all the time.

I have been to my family doctor around a month ago because i had abdominal pain and loss of appetite. The test i had was a blood test and abdomen x-ray, later on my doctor said i was all fine except i was low on 'good' cholestrol.

My question is that could the simple blood test i took from my family doctor detect anything like leukemia? Are these pains a real problem or am i just too worried? By the way my family had no cancer in history.

a simple blood test may see if you have some of the classic signs in your blood. from the sound of it with your peteciae and new brussies your platlets are probably low . and the reason why you are tired my be due to low red blood cells. take it from someone who has had some of the same signs in the past. if i were you just to be safe i would have your doctor order a simple blood test called a cbc and that will count how many of the common types of cells you have like red bllod cells and platlets.
