I've been very scared after a sexual encounter with a lady....

Firstly, Is flu-like symptoms a symptom of yeast infection? Including fatigue, joint pains. I've seen a small number of websites saying it is, and others not even mention.

To cut the story short and easy. I contracted penile yeast infection with the above symptoms. The doctor mis-diagnosed myself and put me on antibiotics for 10 days due to thinking it was originally tonsilitis.

Eventually, after 3 weeks of pain of urination, my penis started having tiny cuts which signified "male penile yeast infection" and traces of candida from swabs of my penis.
Diflucan solved all problems for 3 days. including the fatigue, joint pains and everything.

And NOW, I "BELIEVE" I have nail yeast infection. Fatigue has set in again and my fingers are hardening. Doctors think otherwise and will now run tests on the nail clippings.

My worry as you may see is that I am worried about HIV. The flu like symptoms started 2 days after intercourse, and pain in urination started on 4th day of intercourse.
I got tested for the main streams of HIV on 7 days after encounter and were negative on all counts.

It is now 4 weeks after encounter. Note also: I am not a healthy person. I have always had insomnia and get an average of 2-3 hours sleep a day (or even less)

Questions:
1) Is flu-like symptoms a symptom of yeast infection? Including fatigue, joint pains. I've seen a small number of websites saying it is, and others not even mention.
2) Does HIV cause yeast infection so quick?
3) What's the likeliness of yeast infection going from oral and penile initially, and then turning into nail infection after treatment?

Thanks a million for your assistance!!!!!!!

Flu- like symptoms can be cause by a yeast infection, however, most people do not have this symptom. I think your infection was aggravated by the antibiotics that you were prescribed. The antibiotics killed off all the good bacteria in the body/ skin that keep the natural yeast in your body in check. (A yeast infection occurs when the you have an overgrowth of yeast.)
As for HIV, I do not know whether you have it or how soon it causes problems such as yeast infections.
I suppose you could spread the yeast infection to your hands if your hands stayed damp, were constantly in water...
