Q: Recurring Sharp Stomach Pain

I am a 22 year old male of good health. On Tuesday night I awoke, restless because of the heat (due to our air conditioning breaking that very day) and it was Wednesday morning at about 6:30am when I noticed this stomach pain.

I remember the pain when I was lying in bed awake as being very sharp and pretty much on both sides of my stomach.

Thursday came and the pain came different and now it's Friday night and I still feel this pain. Allow me to describe:

-The pain is recurrent, coming about at random times and lasting for no more than 30 seconds.
-The pain varies from mild to moderate
-It feels like the pain is in the central part of my stomach, just below my belly button.
-The pain feels like a sharpness pushing out my stomach.
-I have not had issues with urination or defecation (no blood, diarrhea, unusual stool)
-I have not vomited as a result of this pain, the only odd thing is that my appetite has been less than normal

I have only assumed that that the pain I have is acid-related, yet antacids have not seems to help my condition. Other possibilities include a cyst or an ulcer but I really don't know and I'm worried about it because I don't know what it is. Obviously, that is why I'm on this forum, hehe.

Hopefully all of you in Good-Health Land can help me out! Thanks in advance!

The area that you describe might be the intestines, which are around the belly button, I believe. Does this pain occur only at night? Is it still happening?

The pain is no longer there, but when I had it, it occurred pretty much all the time. It was hard to say when the pain would flare up again. It felt as if the pain would come every time my stomach would digest. It's realyl hard to say, but I'm not too worried since I'm feeling better.
