I'm 25 years old and have had both yeast and bv infections before. However, I have started dating my boyfriend with whom I often have unprotected sex...as a result I got bv and it really wasn't a surpise due to my sometimes sensitive vagina. But this is my second bv case in two months and now I tested positive for both bv and yeast...i didn't tell my boyfriend about it and continued to have unprotected sex with him once my symptoms subsided...now the symptoms are back again...could his penis be reinfecting me, they seem to come back once we resume sex? Is this in my head or could his penis have something to do with my infections?

He can be infected too, alot of diseases that affect women, show no symptoms in males. Go to your doctor and ask if your bacteria can be contagious.
Another thing that may be happening is that after unprotected sex, you may be wet for a long period of time, which is a catalyst for bacterias and yeast. Take a shower after sex or wipe, to reduce your risk. If that still doesn't work, try treating both the yeast infection and the BV at the same time.
Sometimes, it becomes a rather vicious cycle because the antibiotics kill too much of your natural probacteria (the bacteria that actually helps you) and then yeast begins to overgrow, and then you get a yeast infection.
