I am a medical student and I am looking at the effects of (recurrent) UTIs on patients' every day life, as part of a course in urology. It is quite difficult to find information about this from textbooks and therefore I would be very grateful if any of you who have experienced it would write a few lines about if, and how the condition has affected your life?

Many thanks,
Eva

I had kidney and bladder surgery when I was young. I have had recurrent uti's all my life, and in 2003 I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis, a chronic incurable painful bladder disease. I am 23 and recently I had no choice but to apply for disability. IC
has changed my life completely. It has been a very painful and difficult road for me. I recommend mentioning IC in your paper. If you are intereseted in learning more, you should check out the ic-network.com

Good luck
