Q: recurrent miscarriages

I am 26 years old and have had 2 recent miscarriages. I am now 4w1d pregnant and am having the same symptoms again. Each time I start spotting a dk brown discarge about 2-3 days before I should start my period and then I never start a period but continue to have the spotting for a full 4-5 days. Both times my levels rose normally then abruptly stopped at about 6 weeks. First time I had a d&c and last time I took pills. I am completely healthy. I can't pinpoint any cause. I am scared to death this pregnancy is heading down the same path. I saw my doctor and started on progesterone today even though my levels were normal last time. THis is so awful becuase all I can do is sit here and wait. Anyone out there gone through the same thing? Am I ever going to be able to have children?

I really hope the progesterone works for you. I had 2 previous miscarriages and am now 26 weeks pregnant. In the beginning of this pregnancy I had a lot of cramping and bleeding. I was so sure it was over and I had lost my baby. At 7 weeks we did another ultrasound and found my baby boy's heartbeat. It was perfect. I hope and pray things work out for you. The only thing I did differently was the progesterone, cut out caffeine, took prenatals, extra folic acid, baby asirin, vitamin B6&B12. I hope you update us soon with positive results.

Hi I am going through the same thing. But i have had one live birth and now currently having my 4th miscarriage and no one has any answers. I am healthy too and i just don't understand why this keeps happening. I Found out that i was 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and they did an trans vaginal ultra sound and found a heartbeat. So my hopes were high 5 days later they tell me that the baby has moved down in my uterus and that i will miscarry soon. She wanted to do a D&C right away i told her no i would wait to see what happens. So good luck with you and all you can do is keep a positive and clear mind.

I am very sorry that this keeps happening to you. I wanted to let you know that I did go on to have a healthy pregnancy. I am breastfeeding my son as we speak so it can happen! Never give up. I had all the same syptoms of a miscarriage but went on to have a very heathy pregnancy. I hope things turn out for the best for you.

Thank you jridgill, I found this site to be helpful and to help me to get through all of this. I forgot to put in the post before but they did put me on progesterone also. I was hoping this one would be successful but they said the sac and moved from the top right side of my uterus and down to the bottom side right by the cervix so they said the miscarriage should happen soon. I wish someone could tell me why this keeps happening. They told me this might happen since i had a D&C Nov. 25 due to being septic. Then I got pregnant 9 days after that. It was a bit of a surprise to my husband and i to. Thank you very much for your kind words.
