Dear doctor,
I am 78 years old - in very good health except for a serious rectal prolapse caused by the birth of my children. I have researched all the surgical procedures for the problem but I want the least invasive. Will a less invasive procedure help with bowel incontinence? Which procedure do you recommend?
Thank you for your time.
I must do something!

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

The choice of the surgery for rectal prolapse varies with the degrees of prolapse and needs to be determined after a physical examination.

You might consult a experienced surgeon, who might examine you and then provide answers to your questions.
