Q: Recovery time?

I recently fractured my Radius during a badminton match, the speciallist advised that the bone had "Buckled" as I'm only 15 and my bones are still growing. Due to the way I fell the fracture is quite close to my wrist and I have currently got a full cast on up to my elbow. I know it won't be healed for christmas but I have GCSE exams in january and was hoping to get back to badminton in the new year. I know you guys probably need more accurate details to give a good answer but all I'm after is a general time scale as to when I'll be able to get the cast off and begin using my left hand again.

I've heard 6 weeks however it may be sooner. You could always call the doctors office and ask.

Well the cast came off after around nearly 4 weeks, but now due to muscle wasting at my wrist I have to wait another month to let my wrist regain some strength
