I am only a week out from my surgery.I had stage four endometriosis. I had my right ovary removed last year and then more cysts formed in my left ovary. The doctor said the hysterectomy was my best plan of attack. I would like to speak to other women to see what should I expect. I have about 20 staples and the incision hurts all of the time. It seems impossible to get comfortable. I have questions on what hormone therepy path should I take? I am 32 years old and I have no children, and I am not married. The emotional side has finally set in and it scares me. What is a good plan to deal with that? I have read about maintaining a good diet. What are some things I need to be eating and not eating to prevent the endometriosis from coming back.

Hysterectomy
First of all sorry that you had to go through what you went through. But several of my sisters experienced the same thing that you are going through a hysterectomy with no children, nor a husband. The staples are probably out by now for you, but now you have to deal with the emotional part as well. Just as my sisters had to, but seek counseling if it becomes too difficult for you to bare the emotional pain. Build a support system of people that understand (support group in your area for survivors of hysterctomy) start one if you have to. Check with your doctor about diet and exercise too. Stay healthy you still have a lot of life to live! :k rainbow
