I'm 22 years old and have been on birth control for many years (~6 years). Lately I have noticed my hair-line receding around my widows peak just on the one side. I part my hair on this side and at first I thought it was because of that, but reading up on it I see that it may be a side effect of birth control? Is this true?
I looked into the "hair loss" topic but nothing was said about this topic.
Any help? Should I go off the pill to see if that's what it is?
It's a finger's width difference now and I don't want it to get worse!

Yes, it's possible that your birth control is causing this.
Speak with your doctor, he may switch you to a different pill with a different dosage of hormones, or take you off them completely.

I believe so as well.

Also, have you lost eyebrow hair? This is off-topic but my former yogi told me that when women lose thier eyebrow hair on the lower end that it is a symptom of a hormone imbalance.

Totally off-topic but I thought I'd put that out there. Very Happy

My friend told me that was a possible side effect of the type of birth control she and I use (NuvaRing) and I was really surprised! I don't think I've ever heard of it before and I'm almost sure it's not on the literature that comes with my prescription every month. Maybe it's the sort of thing that only happens after several years so it's a new side effect being noticed?

Ya I'm going to go check it out with my doctor. Hopefully It will start going away. Since the last time I posted it's gotten worse. I just hope I don't go bald!! I'll let you know after I talk to my doctor... but even he might not know about it! (I'm on Tricyclen 21 btw)
