According to the data you provided (chest pain, high blood pressure), it seems that you may be experiencing angina pectoris. Angina pectoris is a severe chest pain due to a lack of oxygen supply to the heart muscle. Both the high blood pressure and angina pectoris are caused by atherosclerosis. There are two subtypes of angina pectoris: stable angina, which is usually precipitated by certain activities and unstable angina, that usually occurs unpredictably, even at rest. The ECG can detect angina in patients that momentarily feel chest pain. ECG can be normal if performed between chest pain attacks, and if there are not previous cardiac problems that have led to heart muscle damage. Several other diagnostic procedures such as: stress testing, echocardiography, or coronary angiography, might be required.
However, there are several other conditions that might cause chest pain, so you might want to consult a cardiologist.
