The data you provided (missing period, negative result on home pregnancy test) might indicate that you are not pregnant. However, there are many other reasons for a missing period, including stress or anxiety and hormonal shifts.

The home pregnancy test might have shown a false negative result which is a negative result on a test in a situation where the condition is actually positive.

To be sure whether you are pregnant or not, you are advised to pay a visit to a gynecologist. S/He would perform a physical examination, hormonal laboratory tests, and an ultrasound scan, which would visually confirm or rule out the presence of an embryo. This way other causes for missing your period might be detected.

If you are pregnant and have to wait for a time for the gynecologist examination, then you might just want to check if unexpected bleeding occurs. Spotting, as well as bleeding with larger amounts of blood loss, might indicate certain problems with the pregnancy. In this case, visiting an emergency service is highly recommended.

Avoiding a sick person with infective diseases (coughing, sneezing, rooms with too many people), and lifting very heavy objects is also a good way to keep you and your baby from potential problems.
