My periods have become increasingly longer. My last one ended about five days ago, and had lasted almost 2 & 1/2 weeks. Today it started again, with painful cramps and it is very heavy. Is this somewhat normal? or should I see my doctor really soon? What might be wrong?

Maybe you have some fibroids?? I'm having a similar problem, but not heavy bleeding and it's not painful, my period is just not going away! You should definitely see a doctor I think. It doesn't sound normal.
