Really bad ingrown hair

So i have an ingrown pubic hair that i ignored for a while. i shaved today and it was a huge lump..when i squeezed this thick grey stuff came out. it was really gross. no blood though. the lump went down so i think that is what it was filled with. it looks like a small black hole there now, and i cant tell if there is hair embedded in it and dont want to keep picking at it and get a scar. HELP! this is just weird!
