STA stands for Standard tube Agglutination Test, which detects antibodies for certain microorganism.
In clinical microbiology is often used as a tool to detect brucelosis.

What kind of symptoms you have?

Thank you,
my symptoms have been
numbness in the arms mostly but have had in my legs, i had one occurence of my vision blurring and a buzzing noise in my head.
i was innitially told MS, then told "i dont know"
i spoke with the dr yesterday
appearantly they are testing me for lyme disease and neurosyphalis.
i cant recall other than my childhood having been bit by a tick, and
i have never had syphalis so... neurosyphalis should easy be ruled out.

Tests to detect antibodies against Lyme disease bacterium, when positive, can be false indicators of disease, since they can remain for years after the disease is cured.

Have you been treated with antibiotics for Lyme disease years ago?
Did you experience vision problems only on one eye, or both eyes?

Did you finally get the diagnosis?
have you been checked for diabetes, too?

Diabetes can give tingling and numbness in arms and legs, and blurred vision.
