I was recently diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia and I would like to be able to enjoy all the delicious goodies that go with enjoying the holdays.I would like to know if there are any good baking websites that will let me have my cake and eat it too.Are there any delicious snacks that are low in sugar, high in protein and taste great too. I am open to any suggestions!

Well, you'll be happy to know that you can pretty much make anything you used to eat if you know how to do it. For example, using white stevia (the processed variety, best from health food stores, not what they sell at supermarkets) you can replace sugar in almost everything. A pie, for example, can be made by creating a crust from butter and finely crushed hazelnuts, almonds, or pecans. The filling can easily be made with fruits or you can even make creams from almond milk using careful amounts of yogurt to get it the right consistency but not too sour. Pizza can even be made by creating a crust from crushed flax meal and almond flour. You can pretty much do anything, but there aren't any cook books out there as far as I know. The most you can do is create you own by looking at what you like and finding a way to create it without the bad things that caused you to get sick in the first place. Salad dressing, pie, pizza, cookies, you can make pretty much anything.
