Q: Reactive HG cause ?

Ok so, long story short. I've been taking care of my HG for a while and it's working. I'm happy with the results.
But tonight, I ended up stuck in traffic, with HG symptoms and with no possibilities to go get something healthy to eat. (No exit on a very very very long bridge type of thing)
So, I ate the one thing I had on me. A big white square of glucose (5 grams of glucose). I'm not proud of myself, but I never get stuck in traffic at this time of the day, so I never bring with me any snack in my purse. Plus, I stick to my food habits well enough to not need to carry a snack. Ever. But tonight, they ended up closing part of the highway because of the heavy rain, and with it. Me, stuck there with nothing I could do.
So when I got home, I ate a piece of bread and some chicken. A very small portion, because I had to leave an hour later to go back downtown (Couldn't avoid it, had to pick up the husband)(minus the traffic) and I knew I had that glucose in me already, and I didn't wanna over eat.
I felt fine all night, until midnight, where I eat my last meal of the day.
I had a normal meal, nothing more then what I have.
2 hours later, my eye balls hurt, I'm dizzy.. and if I close my eyes it's worse!
I've been trying to relax, breath, listen to some music. And nothing worked.
Nothing but one thing.
Going to the bathroom. For hm.. looking for a classier way to say this. A number 2.
(And I wish I knew a better way to say it, but english is not my native tongue - french is, and I'm lacking the knowledge to explain that with better words)
After that, I'm feeling better. I'm not 100% back, but I still feel less worse then before going.
So, What happened to me, and what can I do to avoid it?
I'm guessing it's reactive HG, but, what caused it? That small change in my routine?

So, I'm still dizzy, and my eye balls hurt like crazy.. after I went back to my normal diet.

The only time it doesn't hurt, is when a eat chicken strips with a cesar salad @ wendy's.
Sad, but true.
I also took one more bite of that white big square thing to test things out, and guess what. It fixed my problem.

Other wise, my normal diet doesn't seem to work, even if I eat more, so I have no idea what to do anymore.

Glucose is fine, as long as you follow it up with protein. As a general rule, reactive hypoglycemics shouldn't eat bread. If I even touch the stuff, I pay for it, sometimes a day later. If I don't stick rigidly to my diet (outlined in the Reactive Hypoglycemia Sourcebook by S Kenrose), I pay for it--heavily.

That breading on the chicken probably is high in carbs (and the croutons on the salad, not to mention the dressing, which probably has HFCS!).

No, that's not true at all, glucose is NOT fine. Only glucose that comes from normal digestion is fine, adding it is DISASTROUS, as you see here. A mistake like that early in treatment will seriously take up to two weeks sometime to fully go away. It sounds like you may be slipping here and there too, if what was mentioned about that chicken is true. Is it breaded?
