Hey! I've been on numerous antidepressants in an effort to find longterm treatment for my depression/anxiety and (what was once diagnosed) mild bi-polar disease. My doctor had me on xanax, seroquel, and an antidepressant. My problem is, every single one that ive tried, ive had the same side-effect, sever nervousness, horrible muscle tension, and whats almost like a lockjaw type deal. Ive tried to wait them out, as some side effects lessen over time, but i couldnt survive longer than a month or so. Id also be tired but completely unable to sleep.

everytime ive mentioned this to any doctor, they tell me that they havent had anyone with these type of symptoms.

Has anyone else experienced this? and if you have, is there an antidepressant out there that i might be able to take? Thanks!

There are many different kinds of medication out there. I am sure you will respond well to a different one. I would see a different doctor. Inform that doctor that you are not responding well, and they will put your on a different medication.

I have been taking Lexapro without any noticeable side effects. I have tried others but they made me sleepy all the time. I haven't had the lockjaw problem though.
