Q: Raynaud's?

I have what I think is a weird type of Raynaud's. The soles of my feet during the winter and in summer when the air conditioner is running, become very cold and white. When they are warmed in the shower they begin to burn and when I lift them to look at them they are yellow with pockets of red. I saw a rheumatologist years ago for this but didn't have any pics, he didn't take any interest because it wasn't "textbook". Any ideas?

Sure --- I'd suggest that you photograph your feet when it occurs. Do you have a digital camera?

Well, it seems that the pictures might empower you now to get a diagnosis.

It is possible that these attacks are triggered by the cool temperature. To prevent the attack from occurring, try to leave the AC off in the summer. And what type of climate do you live in? Have you ever considered a tropical climate?

Hey Rooted!

I was glad to see your post--I actually just posted my question, which is soooo similiar to yours! You'll have to check it out--it's under "Problem with feet/legs heating and cooling and tell me if that's what your experiencing

My feet get all all purple and yellow in the cold and red and yellow blotchy when hot. People are always commenting on my "sunburn" in the summer, although it's just my feet being so hot and it always goes away after awhile. Most people don't see my feet in winter, so I don't get nearly as many comments about it. But when I get out of the shower, people will notice my feet being blood red up until about mid-calf.

I have done an ultra sound for Reynaud's and they said my circulatory system was fine. It was the heating/cooling system of my body that was weird.
