My wife has been diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's. She is currently on Requip which seems to mitigate the symptoms but also makes her fatigued during certain times of the day. Her Doctor is now suggesting a change to Sinimet. He has repeatedly said that there is currently no way to slow the progress of PD. The only available course of action is to mitigate the symptoms. The web is full of news about the efficacy of Rasagiline in slowing the progress of PD. Is the use of Rasagiline widespread? Is there still a reluctance to prescribe it? I am concerned about losing valuable time in getting the most advanced treatment.
