Does anyone else suffer from severe rapid onset diarrhea, vomitting, and severe pain in the left lower bowel/pelvic area right before or during monthly period? It usually happens the day before or the day after I start my period. I suddenly get violently sick to my stomach and violent diarrhea, so dizzy and weak that I can't get up and the pain is like severe labor pains! It's a horrible thing to go through every month and the docs don't seem to have a clue. It started at exactly the same time as my thyroid problem. Please help!

Taking Acidophilus may help. Your symptoms could be caused by excessive estrogen levels, and acidophilus supposedly breaks down metabolites of estrogen, which would lessen the symptoms. Extra calcium and magnesium may help with the pain.
Food allergy testing and gastrointestinal function tests are very helpful in finding hidden problems. A nutritionist can do these tests, and also help with thyroid problems.

A digestive enzyme supplement could help a lot. This, along with the acidophilus is where I would start.
