Hi,

Over the last week I have been suffering from random pains. Each of these pains lasts for about 2 days of varying degrees of how painful they are. The 1st day I had a pain in my groin, then the sole of my foot, then the right side of my foot and jaw at the same time, the current pain in my foot is quite intense and I am having trouble walking.

Is this gout? My diet is currently not great, and working from home means I haven't been doing as much exercise as I would like, I also like to drink quite a bit on weekends, however I have never suffered from this before.

I am 26 and have not seen anywhere that would suggest I should be suffering from gout at this age, any help on this matter would be a huge help.

Random Pains
If you had gout you definitely would know it. Typically gout appears in the big toe, knee, elbow, wrist or hands. The pain is a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the worst. I seriously doubt that your random pains are gout. Drinking does seem to cause gout flareups in my case. Like you I drink on weekends mostly, and very little if at all during the week. The only common thread with your case seems to be the drinking connection, but again it doesn't sound like gout from what you describe. Good luck in figuring it out, and be thankful that it probably is not gout.
