Am having random painful heartbeats. Sometimes one every few minutes, sometimes a few per hour. What could be cause, do I need to go to emergency

Hi anthemfish and welcome to ehealth: It is my theory that we never fool around with random painful heartbeats...They are trying to tell us something....Don't ignore your body signs... Take care...
