Radioactive Iodine Treatment

I am going to have radioiodine treatment in early March. I have planned (air ticket already booked)to visit my relative outside the State for two weeks during Easter. I know it may develop and underactive thyroid after the treatment. Is there danger to my health if hypothyroidism occurs during my trip? What is the symptoms of hypothyroidism and what can I do if I feel this symptoms happen?
